HISTORY & CULTURE
Guests can walk in the footsteps of Revolutionary war heroes as they
explore the Valley’s charming and well-preserved towns, which feature many
superb examples of 18th and 19th century architecture. Much of the
Wilmington
village is on the the National Register of Historic Places, including
the town library and the village’s oldest structure, the 1760 Norton House.
The village of West Dover is one of the few unspoiled homogenous historic
districts in New England, with buildings dating from 1805 to 1885.
Also of interest are the Southern
Vermont Natural History Museum and the Living History Museum, in nearby
Marlboro.
