he Mountaineer Inn at Mount Snow is your perfect choice for a summer vacation. At the Mountaineer Inn you can take a stroll through our 25-acre meadow, swim in our heated outdoor pool, hike in the surrounding mountains or ride your bike on the nearby trails. No other facility in the Mount Snow Valley offers a more private, secluded and picturesque setting than the Mountaineer Inn.We are located within walking distance of Mount Snow Resort's mountain bike rentals, chairlift rides, hiking trails, Adventure Center and events. Restaurants of all cuisines and prices are but a short drive.
Within twenty minutes, you'll find four golf courses, two state parks, the state's largest man-made lake, cano, kayak and jet ski rentals, boating, fishing, swimming, horseback or wagon rides and more. Children can enjoy day camps, mini-golf, bowling, a petting farm, or a visit to a real dairy farm to watch the daily milking.
Nearby you'll find shopping for any taste--antiques, flea markets, outlets, art galleries, and roadside venders. In the historic villages of Wilmington, Whitingham, and Dover you'll find many one-of-a-kind specialty shops, artists studios and even a winery.
Locally, Memorial Hall Center for the Arts features a full program of live entertainment. Within 45 minutes, you find a wealth of other arts opportunities. There are dozens of galleries featuring everything from quilts to blown glass. You'll find professional Summer Stock Theatres: Williamstown Theatre, Olde Castle Theatre, Dorset Theatre Festival, and Weston Playhouse. Professional musicians flock to Vermont to perform at nearby Marlboro Music Festival, Memorial Hall, Stratton Mountain, and the Yellow Barn Music School and Festival.

Lake Whitingham, the largest man-made lake in the state, is also one of New England’s most unspoiled. There are no houses along it’s shoreline, but that means there’s more for you to enjoy. Canoe it, hike it’s western shore, take a ride on the Mountain Mills tour boat or just jump in for a quick dip. The waters clean, pure and refreshing.
Mountain Bikers have been coming to Mount Snow for years. Why? Because they’ve discovered that this ski resort is just as much fun and challenging in the summer. Boasting over 141 miles of riding terrain, experienced instructors, performance bike rentals, and this year the National Finals of the NORBA Championship series, earns Mount Snow the title of Mountain Biking Capital of The East. New too, at Mount Snow's Adventure Center is the addition of a BMX track, climging wall and roller rink.

The Mount Snow Valley is also a golfer's paradise. Mount Snow boasts an 18-hole Robert Trent Jones course and, of course, The Original Golf School the country's first destination school for the golfer. Haystack Golf Club boasts spectacular views, too, on the Desmond Murihead designed course.
