Wow!

Film and TV festival coming to Dover

September 26—28, 2013

Previously held in Los Angeles, the 8th annual Independent Television and Film Festival, or ITVFest, will be held in Dover, Vermont, and around the Mount Snow Valley, the last weekend of September.  ITVFest is open to the public and anyone who is a fan of film may attend.  The major thrust of the festival includes a fabulous 3 days of screenings, industry panel discussions and awards.  Festival attendees should expect a full array of very “edgie” yet high quality produced films of varying lengths and diverse subject matter.  The festival organizers are expecting a few thousand people to attend, including artists and television and film executives.

"The premise is to focus on the arts, focus on the independent work of television, web or film," said Phil Gilpin, ITVFest’s Executive Director.   "…and to give the upcoming talented content makers the chance to be seen and meet with the executives.  We’re taking all that out of Hollywood and setting it against spectacular foliage…giving it a real outdoor Vermont feel."   Click here to view trailers of the films showing at ITVFest.

What sets the festival apart from others is the “festival within a festival.”  Participants will enjoy fringe aspects such as live music performances, street performers, art displays and a car show...all this against the backdrop of Vermont’s glorious fall foliage.  While you’ll need a ticket to get into the screening tents, panel discussions, VIP parties and the big Gala on Saturday night the rest is free!  The Mountaineer has put together 3 packages depending on your schedule and interest level.  This event offers a fun and exciting way to glimpse into the future of entertainment media while enjoying the age old beauty of Vermont.  See you in Vermont!
